wow, it's kind of strange, does in german undine means mermaid? cause I'm from lithuania and undine in lithuanian language means mermaid, but I never heard the same word in any other language than just lt and lv...

It's not a common word, but it exists in many languages, german and french for example. But I guess it's only used by people who are interested in mythology... and by those who watched the movie :D
