This is a painting for school, it's the biggest I've ever done (about 1 meter wide I guess).
It's not that dark and a bit more grayish in reality. I like how it turned out since I really thought I'd screw the whole thing up while painting it. However, it was much fun and I enjoyed trying something different from what I usually do.
I'm curious about which grade I'll get for it.

I was inspired by a really great picture but I sadly don't know the painters name or where I found it.

Acrylics on some kind of chipboard or something like that + 7 hours

Float with all that is reflected in oceans of cosmos, presented breathtakingly in Stadt by ~iphigen. The splendour and energy of any city could not be more lavishly represented, where lights gleaming from dark silhouetted towers battle for brilliance with the blanket of glittering stars overhead. This is really beautiful :)
Is is based on a real city, or just a general cityscape?

You really... REALLY should do more paintings, you're quite good with them!

Also, exactly what alove4horses said.

So glad you didn't listen to your teacher about panting over the drips, they make this painting the enchantress that it is. Thank you for sharing the art and your teacher's reaction. I have gone against teachers since first grade. They don't always know what's best.

wow, that's just plain super cool.

I love your technique, I've never seen anything quite like it.

I love the colors too. Everything works so well together. Coolest cityscape I've ever seen!

Thank you so much! I'm glad that you like the painting. I'm not really sure if I had any technique two years ago, this was one of the first paintings i ever made, and I guess I was just lucky :D
