ow, sweetheart, don't let this get you down! in the end, it's not the school that makes the artist, is it? sure, a bunch of papers that prove it are always helpful, but it's not like it's the end of the world, really. and if you still feel it is, then it's just a sign for you to try again, and again, and again, till you succeed. and in the end, exactly what were those so-called 'requirements' that were necessary? maybe you just ought to look for another place, where you will be valued for your real talent. okay, i might just be talking about things i don't know, so i'll shut up.
what i do know, though, is that these two pages are anything but carelessly done.

Honestly, it's the school's loss if they said such things about you. Your work (or what I've seen of it on DA) has a unique style and is wonderfully done, and I don't know how they could say that you don't meet the "requirements" (what does that mean anyway?! Reminds me of those signs infront of amusement park rides: "You must be this awesome to make art at our school"? Frustrating.).
I'm very sorry you were turned down, but it may be for the best if they say such things when they reject students. Don't let it get you down.

I love the details in the hair and the freckles on the skin and the fabric. It's very well-done.

I know this maybe dont help and that you dont really know me, but..
your my favorite artist on DA, and you transform classic drawing to something original. so If you dont come in to any school this year, please dont be too sad.
try next year, and if that dosent work - then the year after that. sooner or lather you will make it!
