Fox you stole the goose by iphigen Fox you stole the goose by iphigen
Oh dear this horrible.
The original painting is a bit wider but sadly my scanner is way too small. The background is shiny gold.
It seems to me that I lost all my creativity. I waste loads of paper and this is the first picture I finished in the last two weeks. All my other attempts were horrible. I neither like this one too much, though. The writing is from a nursery rhyme about a fox that stole a goose and that's about to be shot by a hunter because of that. The last sentence is a warning for the thief.
A fox must have stolen my goose and all that's left is black space. I really want to be able to draw again.

its not horrible at all, its deeply imaginative and whimsical, i love seeing your curious imaginings brought to life
i just do straight portraits, i ought to take some inspiration from you and explore my imagination a bit more!
your goose is definately not stolen;-)

You are such a flatterer, you make me blush!
Your portraits show how unbelievably skilled you are. I tried to paint on canvas once and the result was ridiculous, seriously. This is why I really adore your works.

Thanks buttercup

well, working out how to paint on canvas just takes time and patience really, i think imagination is a much more precious gift

I always enjoy your earthy tones.

Don't worry too much about the struggle. Usually those are the times I learn more about what I need to work on to get better. I feel like all the sketches I did that I hated were the ones that helped me see what I was doing wrong (and continue to help me see what I'm doing wrong currently, present tense). Sketching is never a waste.

I think you're right. Nevertheless it was frustrating. I'm fussy when it comes to my drawings :(
